Tonight, two men’s life will change.  During this election cycle for the presidential election, President Obama and Governor Romney have been vying  to be the president for the next four years.

During the last six months, and even before during the republican primary, we have heard all that is right and wrong about our nation and the people running for office.  It has been stated by some that this is the most divisive election cycle ever.  As a person who lives in Michigan, it is hard to believe this.  But I am told this is not the case for those living in a swing state, like Ohio.  The TV and radio ads are said to be somewhat nasty.

I wonder if the first people who came over to the “New Continent” had this in mind when they came to find a place where they could freely worship God?  I wonder if the founding fathers envisioned the country we have become?  Whether they did or not, this is the place we find ourselves now in time.

So where will we end up at the end of the day?  Who will be the president of out great nation..this  nation founded on Godly principles?  How will this person govern or continue to govern? How will people respond?

As a Christian, the bible tells me I need to pray for those who are placed above me to govern.  So whoever is elected, I will be praying they hear the voice of God as they make decisions and policies which impact all our lives.  We can still continue to be a nation who continues to abide by Godly principles.  We are a great nation, and we need to keep it in prayer.
