Students in fifth grade and beyond are welcome to join the Hartland UMC Youth Group on Sunday at 11:45 a.m. There will be worship, fellowship, and loads of fun! Pastor Paul will lead a lesson. Everyone is encouraged to bring a friend. For more information please contact Brandy Archer.
Can you touch prayer? Can you pull it close and feel it’s comfort? You can if it is part of a prayer quilt. The idea is very simple, yet very powerful. A heavy thread is used to take stitches through the quilt layers and the ends are left free to be tied with a square know. As each knot is tied, a silent prayer is offered for someone in special need. The quilt is then given to this person. What makes each quilt special is that prayer is symbolically tied into each one. Don’t worry if you can’t sew. There are many jobs available that do not require sewing.
